Fame factor

Ever been overly obsessed over a popular person be it girl or guy, be it on the big screen, tv screen, computer screen or in school? He/she doesn't seem that hot or good looking, nor are they overly talented but there is just something about them that attracts your attention and you can't quite put your finger on what that extra factor is? yeah. that extra factor is most probably the FAME factor (or at least that's what i call it).

First, let me explain what the fame factor is. the fame factor is like... the X factor. the X factor stands for something about a person who doesn't look that great but makes heads turn when he/she walks about. there's just something about that person that makes people attracted to him/her. The fame factor, similarly is an extra factor that attracts people to all sorts of stars or popular people. Them being popular just attracts more people to them. there's apparently just SOMETHING that people see in popular people. ordinary and average looking guys turn out to be cute or handsome or charming or.. whatever your friends or you gush about once they are famous. ordinary and average looking girls turn out to be hotties or like cute with a lot of personality(some not really-.-) once they get famous. PUH-LEASE. its probably just the hair and clothes or faces that changed when they mature or earn more money, or come on there's such a thing called plastic surgery. when they are ordinary people like us they are probably just the same just with lesser nice looking clothes and hairstyles and for some, faces. (oops:P) it's just that we don't notice them because they seem ordinary and once they get famous the people/media hype things up for them so tat they become really awesome people.

Now, don't get me wrong but i'm nt against nor ranting about popular people nor m i jealous. i'm actually happy with the way my life is going now. i just thought of this entire topic of fame factor when i spotted sammydee or as you guys call him electricladyland88 in the bus and realized, "hey, he is hanging out with freshmen from polytechnic showing them the ropes around in poly like an ordinary GL". now mind you i used to get really hyper when i see youtube stars like sammydee around especially more since i knew he was attending the same poly as me, but i realized then on the bus that he was really a normal guy and if i didn't know him on youtube i wouldn't have been crazy over him at all. i mean, he sings well and his youtube videos are interesting but he isn't the best out there. Omg u fangirls pls don't come aft me>< i admire him i really do but since i went into poly i've been exposed to many others out there who has much more talent. Ever since then, i grew tired of being obsessed over certain stars or popular people who i go hyper over just because of the fame factor :)

so yeah, the next time you get hyped up over a "popular" ask yourself exactly why are you obsessed over him/her. if he/she isn't hot, or overly talented it's probably just the fame factor and that isn't worth your time and effort to get hyped up over cos it'll die off soon. but then again, if u were blinded by the fame factor you wouldn't know for real if he/she is really worth getting hyped up over. so, BEWARE the FAME FACTOR.
